A few months ago, Cicely approached me about the possibility of us doing a photoshoot together. After months of turning ideas over in my head, I finally struck on something which we both felt very passionately about: the double standards, pressures and expectations facing us, as young women, today. The first set of photos were created from ideas we both had about what we see around us in our everyday life and the second set has been designed to express our convictions that YOU are the only person with the right to define who you are; that women have the right to be powerful; and that we will not be silenced nor hesitate to defy convention in being who we want to be.
